My 5-Star Rating System (It’s Definitely Biased)
This trope combo??? Yeah I’m not putting the book down #booktropes #booktok #bookrecs #romancebooks #spicyromance
How I know a book is going to be 5 stars before I even finish it…
I’m going to be honest, rating systems are a little rigged.
Once a book goes over 3 stars, I really think it starts to come down to your lived experiences.
Some authors write stories that connect with a wide range of people. Others are more specific. And I think we all go into books looking for different things.
For me, if I rate a book 5 stars… it did something to me.
It made me think about my own life.
It made me reflect on past decisions.
It inspired me to live better and more fully.
It probably healed me a little too, if I’m being real.
Also, I’m a sucker for found family and small-town vibes because I value community so much. And I love fast-paced stories, multiple plotlines, and TENSIONNNN.
If you can give me tension… I’m hooked.
That’s how I know it’s 5 stars.
